Coarse black pepper
1 tsp
Garlic powder
1 tbsp
Sugar
1 tbsp
Ancho chile powder
½ tsp
Cayenne Pepper
Overview
All those classic steakhouse flavors you love, plus a little sweet heat...for when your tastebuds want something just a little *more*
Step 1
Combine salt, pepper, garlic powder, sugar, ancho chile, and cayenne. Mix to combine.
Step 2
30-60 minutes prior to grilling, liberally season all sides of steak with your rub.
Step 3
Using a Quick Briq, set Spark Grill to 500°F with the heat spreader out.
Step 4
Place probe in steak, and set target temp to 125°F for medium rare, 133-135°F for medium. Place steaks on grill and cook, flipping often, until internal temp is reached.
Step 5
When target temp is reached, rest steak for 5 minutes before slicing and enjoying!
